The new Alpine Eagle series of watches is rich in fashionable sports style and full of modern flavor—a new interpretation of the St.Moritz watch. The Alpine Eagle series of watches was conceived and designed by Mr. Schaefer himself. It carries his passion for the Alps and symbolizes the noble eagle power dominating this region. This 41mm diameter watch is made of Lucent Steel, Chopard’s unique material. It is strong and wear-resistant, bright and shiny. It is paired with an Aletsch glacier blue dial, showing a deep and quiet beauty. It has an award-winning precision timepiece and certified high-quality Chopard 01.01-C self-winding movement. Chopard adheres to its solemn commitment to the “Journey to Sustainable Luxury” and has increased the recyclable steel content in Lucent Steel to 80%. The Alpine Eagle series of watches is dedicated to the outstanding and outstanding people of the contemporary era. They are far-sighted in their daily lives, and their vision inspires people and sublimates their emotions.
Family legacy
Vision is crucial to running a family brand, but perseverance and determination are keys to success. In 1980, 22-year-old Karl-Friedrich Scheufele proposed his first watchmaking project to his father. As a young employee of the family watch factory, he planned to build a watch replicas. A watch named St.Moritz. The young Schaefer insisted on himself, proliferated through this enterprising project, and then spread his wings to soar.
The St.Moritz watch was the first sports watch launched by Chopard and the first stainless steel timepiece created by the brand’s workshop. The meaning behind this move is also risks that have been carefully assessed. Karl-Friedrich Scheufele’s bold innovation was successful, and the St. Moritz watch became one of the brand’s best-selling watches over the next decade. After that, he became Co-President of Chopard, demonstrating great vision and overcoming many other challenges. He was one of the first people to realize the strong connection between car enthusiasts and mechanical watchmaking fans. Under his promotion, Chopard formed a legendary relationship with the 1000 Miglia antique car road race. In 1996, he restored the glory of fine watchmaking by creating the Chopard Manufacture watchmaking workshop in Fleurier. In line with the same pioneering spirit, Karl-Frederic Schaefer built a building on the same site in Fleurier that meets the Minergie certification standards, thus establishing Chopard’s “Road to Sustainable Luxury” (Journey to Sustainable Luxury) laid the foundation.
The birth of the Alpine Eagle series of watches can be described as history repeating itself: his son Karl-Fritz persevered with the help of his grandfather Karl. Ultimately, his son’s firm belief moved him and made him initially. The hesitant Karl-Friedrich Schaefer agreed to reinvent the St. Moritz watch, just as he had won over his father’s support forty years earlier.
Nature, the outstanding craftsman,
The eagles and biological communities soaring in the Alps inspired the design. The rock-like dial texture is like the iris of an eagle’s eye, the hands are like the eagle’s feathers, and the shiny stainless steel is like a cold glacier. The Aletsch glacier blue dial is reminiscent of the brilliant blue light flowing among the majestic glaciers in the Alps.
The bracelet of the Alpine Eagle series of watches adopts a gradually narrowing design. It has a dropped shape of integrated metal bracelet links and a polished central top cover.
The screw notches are in the same direction as the curvature of the bezel, demonstrating superb watchmaking skills and ingenious aesthetic concepts. All flat surfaces of the Alpine Eagle watch are satin-finished. This meticulous surface treatment creates a light and shadow effect further enhanced by chamfering and polishing. The hour, minute hands, and hour markers are all covered with Super-LumiNova Grade X1 fluorescent coating, making night reading clearer. The white snow, rapid rivers, and rugged rocks of the Alps inspired Karl-Friedrich Schaefer to have endless inspiration. The Alpine Eagle series of watches have been polished and frosted, and their appearance changes with the light. The delicate nature of light and shadow is revealed. Bell and ross replica.
Lucent Steel: The Alchemist’s Quest
This is Lucent Steel, which is made through a remelting process and has four unique characteristics.
Lucent Steel is the brainchild of Chopard after more than four years of careful research and development. Its industrial production process is a real challenge – stringent production requirements increase the manufacturing time and the wear of processing tools. Starting in 2023, Chopard will expand its application scope to all stainless steel watch production.
Factory-made movement
Adhering to Karl-Friedrich Schaefer’s pursuit of precision performance in fine watchmaking, the self-winding movement of the Alpine Eagle 41mm watch was carefully developed by Chopard’s watchmaking workshop and has won the Swiss official chronometer certification.
Thanks to the vertically integrated production process, from all movement components to the case and bracelet production, all parts of the Alpine Eagle series of watches are produced and assembled by Chopard.
